Student Online Meeting Policy.
1. Availability and Attendance:
a. The child student is required to be available and attend online meetings at the designated scheduled dates and times provided by the school or educational institution.
b. Any absence or tardiness must be reported in advance, following the school’s absence notification procedures.
c. It is the responsibility of the student and their parents/guardians to ensure that the student is ready and prepared for each online meeting.
2. Technical Requirements:
a. The child student must have access to a computer or device with a stable high-speed internet connection capable of supporting online meetings.
b. The computer or device must have a working video camera and audio capabilities.
c. The student and their parents/guardians are responsible for maintaining the functionality and proper setup of the required technology.
3. Environment:
a. The child student must participate in online meetings from a quiet and suitable environment that is conducive to learning.
b. The student’s chosen location should be free from distractions, such as noise, excessive movement, or interruptions.
c. Backgrounds should be appropriate and non-disruptive to the learning environment.
d. If possible, the student should use headphones or earphones to minimize background noise.
4. Conduct and Participation:
a. The child student is expected to behave in a respectful and appropriate manner during online meetings, following the school’s code of conduct and behavior policies.
b. The student should actively engage in the online meeting by participating, asking questions, and contributing to discussions as required.
c. The student should follow any specific instructions given by the teacher or facilitator during the online meeting.
5. Connectivity and Technical Issues:
a. In the event of technical difficulties or connectivity issues, the student and their parents/guardians should promptly inform the school or relevant teacher.
b. The student and their parents/guardians should make efforts to resolve technical issues promptly, seeking assistance from the school’s IT department if necessary.
6. Privacy and Security:
a. The student must adhere to the school’s privacy and security guidelines while attending online meetings.
b. Students should not share meeting links, passwords, or any other sensitive information with unauthorized individuals.
c. Recording or sharing online meeting content without prior permission from the teacher or relevant authorities is strictly prohibited.
7. Parental Involvement:
a. Parents/guardians are encouraged to support their child’s online meeting participation by providing necessary technical assistance and creating a conducive learning environment.
b. Parents/guardians should regularly communicate with the school or teachers to stay informed about their child’s progress and any updates related to online meetings.
8. Consequences for Non-Compliance:
a. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in disciplinary actions as per the school’s policies and guidelines.
b. Chronic or repeated non-compliance may affect the student’s academic progress and participation in future online meetings.
