The treatment room in a veterinary hospital is a special place where animals get the care they need to feel better. This is where vets give medicines, do small surgeries, clean wounds, clean teeth, and take samples like blood for tests.
It’s very important to keep this room super clean to make sure both the animals and the vet team stay safe. They always clean the tools, wipe down surfaces, and throw away medical waste properly. This helps stop the spread of germs and keeps everything organized. A clean treatment room helps animals heal faster and lets the vets do their best work.

Anesthesia Machine
An anesthesia machine is a special device used in veterinary hospitals to help animals stay asleep and not feel any pain during surgery. It works by holding special drugs called sedatives that keep the pet anesthetized, which means they are in a deep sleep and won’t feel anything.
Treatment Board
The treatment board is used to keep track of the patients that are in the hospital and lists their treatments and medications for that day.
Surgical Light
The Surgical Lite is a super bright and powerful light that doctors use during surgeries. It is attached to a special arm that can swivel, which means it can move around easily to shine light from different angles. This helps the doctor see clearly so they can do their job safely and accurately.
IV Fluid Pump and Stand
An IV fluid pump and stand are tools used in hospitals to help patients get the fluids and medicines they need directly into their bodies. The IV stand is like a tall, metal pole that holds a bag filled with special fluids. These fluids can be water, nutrients, or medicine. The pump is a small machine that gently pushes the fluids from the bag through a thin, plastic tube and into a patient’s vein.
Autoclave ( Sterilizer)
An autoclave is a special machine used to keep everything super clean and safe for pets. Imagine it like a big, super-hot oven that can kill all the tiny germs and bacteria on the tools that doctors use. This way, they make sure the tools are perfectly clean and won’t make any animals sick.
Enter the Laboratory
Now that you are done in the treatment room you will go into the Laboratory where the Dr and technicians will perform lab tests that are needed to diagnose any potential health issues your pet may be having. You’ll get to learn about different lab equipment and diagnostic tools and see how veterinarians use them to save pets in the clinic.
