X-Ray – Radiology
Explore the inside of animals through radiology
Welcome to the Radiology Room
This special room helps us take pictures of the inside of animals’ bodies. These pictures, called X-rays, show us their bones and organs, which helps doctors figure out what’s wrong and how to help them get better.
Entering the X-Ray room
The room has cool equipment like the X-ray machine and a big computer screen to see the pictures. It’s a very important place because it helps keep our pets healthy and happy!

X-Ray Room
Radiology
The X-ray room in a vet hospital is a special place where vets can take super-detailed pictures of the inside of animals’ bodies. These pictures, called X-rays, help vets see bones and organs to find out what’s wrong with a pet if they are sick or hurt. Vet techs help the pets stay still while the X-ray machine takes the picture. This helps the vet figure out if a bone is broken, if there’s something stuck inside, or if an organ looks strange. With this information, the vet can create a plan to make the pet feel better and get healthy again.
Check out the icons on the image to the left to learn about the room. Continue to the next room below when you are done.

Treatment Table
Used to store and organize medical supplies and instruments. Helps keep the workspace tidy and ensures that essential items are easily accessible during procedures.
X-Ray Viewer
In the vet radiology room, the doctor uses an X-ray machine to take pictures of the inside of your pet. These pictures appear on a computer screen. By looking at them, the doctor can see if anything is wrong, like broken bones, and decide how to help your pet feel better.
X-Ray Table
The X-ray table in the vet radiology room is where your pet lies down to get an X-ray. The table helps keep your pet still so the doctor can take clear pictures. Your pet might lie on its side, back, or tummy, depending on what the doctor needs to see. This helps the doctor check inside your pet’s body to find out what might be wrong.
Digital X-Ray Machine
A digital X-ray machine is a special camera that takes pictures of the inside of your pet’s body. When your pet lies still on the X-ray table, the machine sends invisible rays through their body to create a picture, just like a photograph. These pictures show up on a computer screen
Foot Pedal
The foot pedal on the X-ray machine is like a special button the vet tech steps on to take the X-ray picture. This helps the vet tech keep their hands free to make sure your pet stays in the right position for a clear picture. When they press it with their foot, the machine takes a picture of the inside of your pet’s body.
Eyes & Ears
In a vet clinic, the Dr has special tools used to check your pet’s ears and eyes.an otoscope is used to look inside your pet’s ears to check for problems. An ophthalmoscope is used to look into your pet’s eyes to make sure they are healthy.
